If I'm being completely honest, I didn't really plan this blog website out all that much. I purchased this domain some time ago, and I had somewhat of a different idea for a way to utilize it. Needless to say, I didn't do that.
You see, I own and operate several different websites, I've been helping local businesses with website development and SEO for almost a decade, and I like to keep busy with other pet projects and things related to that line of work.
However, one thing I've never really delved into was blogging or content creation outside of that topic. Like anything else, I got somewhat burned out on the SEO topics all day every day, and was looking for another outlet.
Ultimately I decided to start blogging about topics that I enjoy, mainly my hobbies and interests. I've been an outdoorsman ever since I was old enough to go fishing and hunting with my dad when I was younger. I enjoy growing my own vegetables and fruit trees, and I've been a licensed ham radio operator for about a decade, which serves to scratch both the techie and nerdy itches I often have in my head.
On top of the fact that I spent a couple decades as a factory trained auto repair diagnostic tech and assistant shop foreman, which gave me the skills (and massive amounts of tools) to be able to fix just about anything. I've always enjoyed figuring out what makes things tick, and I have an affinity for learning new skills and information.
All those factors combined, and just about everyone I know refers to me as the jack-of-all-trades type of guy, and even causes some women to swoon, calling me a man's man. (Don't get any ideas ladies, I'm happily married to my dream girl.)
So although the domain name or title of this website doesn't really line up with the topics I cover, I also couldn't really come up with a better name either, so here we are.
While you likely won't find any easy-mode video game guides here, nor will you find a tutorial on how to turn on (or off) the "easy mode" on your Samsung phone, what I hope to bring to the table here are articles, guides, and tutorials on how you can more easily navigate the waters of DIY repairs, tools, outdoorsmanship, survival skills, home and garden topics, and even some ham radio information.
No, I'm not some sort of apocalypse survivalist or doomsday prepper, I'm just a guy who has some of those same interests. Sure, I do think emergency preparedness is important, and those type of topics will be covered, but not focused on per-se. Sort of like my hobbies and interests, it will be a mashup of several topics.
There will be amazon affiliate links (and perhaps others) posted on many of the articles here, and I'll thank you in advance for clicking on them. It doesn't cost you anything to do so, and it puts a few pennies at a time in my pocket.
There will be nothing but human-generated content posted here, and I appreciate your clicks and readership very much.
